What is
Professional Organizing?

Professional organizers use tested principles and expertise to enhance the lives of their clients. They design custom organizing systems and teach organization skills to help their clients take control of their surroundings, their time, their paper piles, and their lives.

For homeowners, a professional organizer might offer room-by-room space planning and reorganization, estate organization, improved management of paperwork and computer files, or systems for managing personal finances and other records. For Businesses, an organizer can increase productivity and profitability through improvements in paper-filing and storage, electronic organization, work-flow systems, employee time-management, space design, and more.

Our Process

Stephanie offers an hour-long consultation to evaluate a project. During this time, Stephanie and the client can set goals for the project, and Stephanie can recommend any supplies needed to complete it. After the consultation and initial work for the client, Stephanie works with the client to form organizational systems working around the client's established habits that enable the client to maintain order.

Step 1: Consultation

Stephanie meets with the client to see the job. A consultation gives the client a chance to explain what is not working in their space and any desired changes. The consultation enables Stephanie to see clients' habits that are already in place and to make judgments about how best to help the client.

Step 2: Setting Goals

From paperwork to closets to whole rooms, Stephanie works with the client to discover or set goals in each oft the client's spaces. Stephanie assists the client in setting small goals to reach desired purposes for each space and suggests any resources necessary to meet these goals.

Step 3: Sorting

Stephanie aids the client in sorting through the space and items in the space to help the client determine what to keep, give away, or throw away.

Step 4: Forming Systems

Once the keep items have been determined, Stephanie helps the client form organizational systems that work around the established habits of the client. This may also involve implementing any containers or tools used to form these systems.
